At 842 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly south of I40
and also in Arkansas west of I49. Thunderstorms with locally heavy
rain were located in Sequoyah and Adair counties in Oklahoma and
Washington county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the
Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville area. Movement was to the east
at around 30 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was
around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch and a
half to two inches. Intensity increased during the last hour. The
Tulsa area forecast for late this evening , late this evening and
into overnight, partly cloudy, a chance of thunderstorms. Some
thunderstorms may be severe .
