At 342 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly in southeast
Oklahoma. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in
Pittsburg, Mcintosh and Haskell counties in Oklahoma and was more
widespread in southcentral Oklahoma. Movement was to the east at
around 25 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was
around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of three quarters
to around an inch. Coverage, and intensity increased during the last
hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late tonight and into this
morning, cloudy, a chance of showers and thunderstorms with
temperatures 64 to 67 degrees and east winds up to 5 mph.
