At 728 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in northeast
Oklahoma and along and west of I49 in Arkansas. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Tulsa, Pawnee and Wagoner
counties in Oklahoma and was more widespread in northcentral
Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Bentonville, Rogers and
Fayetteville area. Movement was to the east at around 35 mph. The
average amount where it rained last hour was around one tenth of an
inch with maximum amounts of three quarters to around an inch.
Coverage, and intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa
area forecast for this morning, cloudy, showers and thunderstorms
likely with temperatures 61 to 66 degrees and northeast winds 5 to
10 mph.
