At 128 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly north of a
Tulsa to Fort Smith line and also east of a Eufaula to Hugo line.
Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in Mayes and
Washington counties in Oklahoma and Benton county in Arkansas. The
precipitation was in the Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville area.
Movement was to the east at greater than 40 mph. The average amount
where it rained last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch
with maximum amounts of three to four inches. Coverage and intensity
remained about the same as last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for
late tonight, partly cloudy, a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Some thunderstorms may be severe .
