This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Northern portions of NE Oklahoma and NW Arkansas.
ONSET...After midnight.

DANGEROUS HEAT.
RISK...Elevated.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid weather will result in dangerous heat for the
remainder of the afternoon. Heat indices will top out in the low
100s, locally as high as 105F. A front will move through northeast
OK overnight, stalling near I-40. Portions of northeast OK and
northwest AR may see strong thunderstorms with gusty gusty winds
overnight.

Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
SUNDAY TO WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
THURSDAY TO FRIDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Scattered storms will develop Sunday along the front, leading to a
20-40% chance of rain. There is a 5-10% chance of marginally
severe wind gusts with a few storms. Cooler and drier air will
move in behind the front. Storms will become confined to
southeast OK by Monday. Then, another upper level low will help to
increase storm chances across the area Tuesday- Wednesday with
warmer and more humid air returning. Warm and humid conditions,
with low to no rain chance, will then prevail for the second half
of next week.
