Heat index values between 95 and 100 degrees are ongoing across most of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this afternoon. These values may cause heat-related illnesses through the early evening hours. Breezy conditions with gusts to 30 mph will continue to be possible, mainly across northeast Oklahoma through sunset. An isolated storm could develop over the higher terrain of southeast Oklahoma or northwest Arkansas (10% chance) late this afternoon or early evening. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. MONDAY AND TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential. WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Breezy to windy weather persists Monday and Tuesday with a few storms over the higher terrain of southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Severe weather is not expected. Additional isolated storms and cloud cover may spread across southeast Oklahoma Wednesday (10-20% chance) with some slight cooling of high temperatures.
