...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN HAAKON...
SOUTHEASTERN MEADE AND EAST CENTRAL PENNINGTON COUNTIES THROUGH 615
PM MDT...

At 548 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles east of Wasta, or 33 miles west of Philip, moving east at 30
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern
Haakon, southeastern Meade and east central Pennington Counties.

This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 100
and 109.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
west central South Dakota.
