...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM MDT
FOR SOUTHWESTERN HAAKON...NORTHEASTERN CUSTER AND EASTERN PENNINGTON
COUNTIES...

At 944 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southeast of
Owanka, or 39 miles east of Rapid City, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect damage
         to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.

Locations impacted include...
Wall, Wasta, Scenic, Quinn, Owanka, Grindstone, Folsom, Creighton,
Wicksville, Sheep Mountain Table, Delta 9 Missile Silo, Railroad
Buttes, Pinnacles Ranger Station, and northern Badlands National
Park.

This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 86
and 122.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a dangerous storm. Prepare immediately for large destructive
hail capable of producing significant damage. People outside should
move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from windows.
