The initial damage as it came on shore was confined to some minor tree damage and a few shingles missing from a couple homes. The tornado then lifted and eventually reformed near FM1781 where it destroyed a couple carports and two sheds. It also snapped some smaller trees and broke numerous large branches before dissipating. .Rockport Tornado... Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 70 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.20 miles Path Width /maximum/: 40 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 06/19/2024 Start Time: 06:43 PM CDT Start Location: 1 NE Rockport / Aransas County / TX Start Lat/Lon: 28.0509 / -97.0381 End Date: 06/19/2024 End Time: 06:44 PM CDT End Location: 1 NE Rockport / Aransas County / TX End Lat/Lon: 28.0502 / -97.0412 Survey Summary: Multiple residents witnessed a very brief tornado that was mostly just affecting the tops of trees and a few roofs. A couple trees lost large branches and a dying palm tree was snapped in half.
