Initially these storms will be capable of very large hail potentially in excess of 2 inches in diameter. A tornado or two are also possible, especially across northeast Minnesota. After 9pm the risk for damaging winds in excess of 60mph will increase. An active weather pattern is expected to resume starting Saturday and continuing into early next week. There are some signals on Sunday for the possibility of stronger to severe storms .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Initially these storms will be capable of very large hail potentially in excess of 2 inches in diameter. After 9pm the risk for damaging winds in excess of 50kts will increase. Gusty westerly winds with gusts up to 25kts on Thursday may lead to conditions hazardous to small craft. An active weather pattern is expected to resume starting Saturday and continuing into early next week.
