THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Limited. AREA...Far Southeast Oklahoma. ONSET...Ongoing. DANGEROUS HEAT. RISK...Elevated. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma Along and West of Highway 75. ONSET...Ongoing. DISCUSSION... Hot and humid conditions will continue late this afternoon and into early evening across parts of eastern Oklahoma generally along and west of Highway 75. Expect heat index values from 105 to 110 to continue through early evening. An isolated shower or thunderstorm may occur through mid evening across parts of far southeast Oklahoma, in the vicinity of an outflow boundary left from the morning thunderstorm complex. Severe weather is not expected. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. THURSDAY...Thunderstorm and Dangerous Heat Potential. FRIDAY...High Wind and Dangerous Heat Potential. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...Thunderstorm and Dangerous Heat Potential. MONDAY AND TUESDAY...Dangerous Heat Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Hot and humid conditions will return areawide from late week through the upcoming weekend. Afternoon heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees will be common on several days and locally higher values are possible with heat stress impacts increasing. Thunderstorm chances return to areas near the Oklahoma and Kansas border late Thursday into Friday.
