557 FZUS52 KTAE 270843 SRFTAE Surf Zone Forecast National Weather Service Tallahassee FL 443 AM EDT Mon May 27 2024 .THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK... Moderate southwest breezes over the Gulf waters today will kick up enough surf for a high risk of rip currents, especially for southwest-facing Emerald Coast beaches. On Tuesday, the onshore component of the wind will decrease, but it will take until Tuesday night for the surf to decrease enough to lower the rip risk. From Wednesday through Friday, nighttime and morning offshore winds will get interrupted each day by the nearshore afternoon seabreeze. This should not be enough to raise the rip risk above the moderate category.
