...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM MDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast New Mexico,
  including the following counties, in north central New Mexico,
  east central Santa Fe. In northeast New Mexico, northwestern San
  Miguel. This includes the upper headwaters of the Pecos River and
  the creeks and streams feeding into it, as well as the drainages
  farther southwest near Glorieta and Lamy.

* WHEN...Until 1230 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 932 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Eldorado At Santa Fe, Pecos, Glorieta, Canada De Los Alamos,
    Lamy, Rowe, Tererro and Cowles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Do not camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in
steep, narrow canyons. Know where you are relative to low spots and
drainages.
