...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL VALENCIA AND WEST
CENTRAL TORRANCE COUNTIES THROUGH 930 PM MDT...

At 857 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Manzano Mountain State Park, or 20 miles southwest of Estancia. This
storm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mountainair, Tajique, Manzano Mountain State Park, and Manzano.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Heavy rains will cause water to pond on roads and in low spots. Fast
running water will quickly fill arroyos and ditches.
