...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN SCHENECTADY...
NORTHEASTERN ALBANY AND SOUTH CENTRAL SARATOGA COUNTIES THROUGH 530
PM EDT...

At 505 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Schenectady, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Schenectady, Clifton Park, Rotterdam, Niskayuna, Alplaus, East
Glenville, Groom Corners, Carman, Aqueduct, Boght Corners, Hawthorne
Hill, Coldbrook, Dunsbach Ferry, Fort Hunter, Clifton Park Center,
Rexford, South Schenectady, Fullers, Bellevue, and Verdoy.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 90 near exit 25.
 Interstate 890 between exits 4b and 9.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
east central New York.
