...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN DUTCHESS COUNTY
THROUGH 700 PM EDT...

At 625 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Pleasant Valley, or 8 miles east of Poughkeepsie, moving east at 20
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sherman, Pleasant Valley, Millbrook, Wingdale, Dover Plains,
Gaylordsville, Merwinsville, Baker Corner, Freedom Plains, Oniontown,
South Dover, Hoxie Corner, Millbrook Heights, Clove Valley, South
Amenia, Billings, Pleasant Ridge, Bains Corner, Clove, and Washington
Hollow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
