...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN WARREN...CENTRAL
SARATOGA AND CENTRAL WASHINGTON COUNTIES THROUGH 230 PM EDT...

At 157 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Rock City Falls, or 8 miles northwest of Saratoga Springs, moving
northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls, Hudson Falls, Ballston Spa, Fort
Edward, Corinth, Hartford, Galway, Comstock, Rock City Falls, Glens
Falls North, North Ballston Spa, West Glens Falls, Lake
Luzerne-Hadley, Kings, Mount Pleasant, Gates, Queensbury, Wilton, and
Kingsbury.

People attending Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) should seek
safe shelter immediately!

This includes Interstate 87 between exits 14 and 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for east central
New York.
