...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL COLUMBIA...
SOUTHEASTERN ALBANY AND SOUTHWESTERN RENSSELAER COUNTIES THROUGH 645
PM EDT...

At 559 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Feura Bush, or near Delmar, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Albany, East Greenbush, Rensselaer, Nassau, Delmar, Ravena,
Castleton-On-Hudson, West Sand Lake, Feura Bush, Selkirk,
Wynantskill, Averill Park, North Greenbush, New Scotland, Coeymans,
Poestenkill, Coeymans Hollow, Brookview, Van Hoesen Station, and
Spawn Hollow.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 90 between exits 10 and 6.
 Interstate 87 between exits 21A and 23.
 Interstate 787 between exits 1 and 5.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
