...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Turkey River at Spillville affecting Winneshiek County.

  Upper Iowa River at Dorchester Hwy 76 affecting Allamakee County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued this evening at 1100 PM CDT.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Turkey River at Spillville.

* WHEN...Until early Monday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 5.0 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this evening to a crest of 12.9 feet tomorrow morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

* WHEN...From Sunday morning to Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Significant agricultural flooding begins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 8.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest of 15.5 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
