...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Turtle Creek Near Austin 3NW affecting Mower County.

.About another inch of rain fell across the Turtle Creek drainage
area Saturday afternoon. While the river levels was holding steady
near 12 feet, another rise is expected into Sunday. Some lag is
being seen in the drainage into the creek. Confidence has lowered
that the river will make Major flood stage, but will be revised in
future forecasts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TUESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
  This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Turtle Creek near Austin 3NW.

* WHEN...Until late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Flooding begins along the creek outside of
  Austin.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 11.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 3:30 PM CDT Saturday was 11.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.3
    feet early Monday morning. It will then fall below flood
    stage late Tuesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    14.8 feet on 09/16/2004.
