.Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches has occurred along the river near Lansing
Iowa and another inch is forecast through 6 pm. Minor debris on the
roads were reported by emergency management.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding and minor mudslides on steep terrain
  near the Mississippi river caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Iowa, including the following
  county, Allamakee and southwest Wisconsin, including the following
  county, Crawford.

* WHEN...Until 630 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 516 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This is causing small stream flooding. Between
    1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Lansing, Ferryville, Red Barn Campground, Village Creek, Rush
    Creek and Churchtown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
