...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN TIOGA AND
NORTHEASTERN BRADFORD COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM EDT...

At 627 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
East Smithfield, or 9 miles southwest of Athens, moving east at 45
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Athens, Towanda, Sheshequin, Ulster, Litchfield, Orwell, North
Towanda, Windham, West Burlington, and Rome.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central New York...and northeastern Pennsylvania.
