...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN BROOME...
SOUTHEASTERN CHEMUNG...TIOGA...SOUTHEASTERN TOMPKINS AND NORTHERN
BRADFORD COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 436 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Slaterville Springs to Gillett. Movement was
east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Chemung, Endicott, Southport, Barton, Sayre, Maine, Waverly, Owego,
Athens, and Caroline.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 86/Route 17 between 59 and 66.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central New York...and northeastern Pennsylvania.
