...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL ONEIDA...CENTRAL
OTSEGO...SOUTHERN MADISON...NORTHEASTERN CORTLAND AND NORTHERN
CHENANGO COUNTIES THROUGH 1230 PM EDT...

At 1117 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Poolville to De Ruyter. Movement was east
at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Norwich, Eaton, Hamilton, Brookfield, Hartwick, Cooperstown,
Edmeston, Plymouth, North Norwich, and Sherburne.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
