Scattered showers are expected across much of the region today,
especially for southern areas where thunderstorms are also
possible. It will be another cool and mostly cloudy summer day,
with afternoon highs in the mid 60s to mid 70s.

Additional chances for more widely scattered showers and
thunderstorms are in the forecast for Saturday, with the highest
chances along and north of the international border. A warm up to
near and eventually above normal temperatures will also begin on
Saturday, when highs are expected to be in the lower 70s to lower
80s. The warm up will reach its peak on Monday when highs could
reach the lower to mid 90s across southern North Dakota and South
Dakota. Lower chances for showers and storms remain in the
forecast for Sunday through Wednesday, but much of this time
period will remain dry for most areas.
