Cool and dry conditions will continue today, with northwest flow aloft bringing breezy afternoon winds, mainly in South Central Idaho. Minimum relative humidity values will be in the upper teens to low twenties across the region, but expect moderate recoveries overnight with cooler low temperatures. Light diurnal winds overnight will become breezy westerly winds by the early afternoon as an upper level ridge builds in tomorrow, bringing very hot afternoon temperatures and lower minimum relative humidities. A cold front will move through on Sunday morning, bringing windy and cool conditions along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms (20-30% chance), mainly over high terrain in the Owyhee Mountains and Payette National Forest.
