...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY
THROUGH 245 PM EDT...

At 148 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Waterford, or 8 miles southeast of Erie, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Westfield, Lakewood, Mayville, Findley Lake, Long Point State Park,
Chautauqua Institution, Chautauqua, Mina, French Creek, Sherman,
Panama, Bemus Point, Stedman Corners, Stow, and Ashville.

This includes Interstate 86 between exits 4 and 10.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
