Tonight through Saturday... Surface high pressure is control of the weather pattern tonight into early Friday with dry and quiet weather expected. A cold front will move across the region Friday night bringing a few showers to the area, significant precipitation is not expected. The main impact from the front will be much cooler temperatures on Saturday with high confidence that high temperatures will only be in the 60s on Saturday, cooler in the mountains. Saturday night through Wednesday... A fast moving through approaches the region from the Northwest on Sunday and is expected to sweep through the forecast area Sunday night through Monday morning. This system will bring higher chances (20 to 50 percent) for showers, snow in the higher elevations, Sunday night through Monday morning. After a brief rebound in high temperatures on Sunday, with highs edging into the 70s, highs will fall back in to the 60s, cooler in the mountains, across much of the area on Monday. WPC cluster analysis is indicating high confidence in a ridge building across the western CONUS by the middle of next week. This will bring drier and warmer conditions to the region. There is a 85 percent chance that high temperatures could reach or exceed 75 degrees on Thursday. && .AVIATION... Gusty west/northwest winds will subside early this evening at KBIL, KMLS and KSHR. Look for winds to subside initially at KLVM this evening, then increase tonight out of the southeast around 06Z at 10 to 15 kts withs gusts to around 25 kt possible.
