For the Rio Grande at Columbia Bridge. * At 1:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 6.9 feet (2.1 meters). * Flood stage is 18.0 feet (5.5 meters). * Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet (4.9 meters). * Caution stage is 10.0 feet (3.0 meters). * Forecast: The river will continue to rise to above caution levels Thursday morning then cresting at around 13.4 feet (4.1 meters) late Thursday night or Friday morning. The river is then expected to fall below caution stage Friday evening. For the Rio Grande at Laredo. * At 2:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 1.8 feet (0.5 meters). * Flood stage is 8.0 feet (2.4 meters). * Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet (2.1 meters). * Caution stage is 7.0 feet (2.1 meters). * Forecast: The river will continue to rise to above caution levels Thursday evening then cresting at around 7.5 feet (2.3 meters) Friday morning. The river is then expected to fall below caution stage Friday afternoon.
