Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
805 PM EDT Thu Jun 20 2024

High pressure off the East Coast will continue to impact the
state through the weekend with high temperatures and heat related
impacts.

The isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms will diminish tonight
after sunset across the northern tier counties, and fog may form,
especially where the rain fell in the early morning hours. Lows
will range from the upper 60s to the lower 70s.

The heat and humidity will continue on Friday with more numerous
showers and storms expected to cover a greater portion of the
Commonwealth versus Thursday. Storms are possible as far south as
the Turnpike corridor. The heat and humidity will combine to push
the heat index just over 100 degrees in the central valleys, and
in the mid to upper 90s elsewhere.

Saturday looks even more uncomfortable with slightly higher heat
index values and more widespread showers and thunderstorms.
