Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
418 AM EDT Sun Jun 30 2024

Showers and thunderstorms diminished in coverage overnight with
with lingering clouds streaming overhead and areas of fog forming.
It was very mild with pre dawn temperatures ranging from the mid
60s to the mid 70s along with areas of fog.

A cold front will move east and south across the Commonwealth
today bringing another chance of showers and thunderstorms across
the state. The greatest potential for severe thunderstorms
appears to be over southeastern parts of the Commonwealth as the
front crosses during max daytime heating. Expect high
temperatures today in the upper 70s in the northwest to mid 80s
in the southeast.

High pressure will build over the state through Monday, bringing
much drier and cooler air to Pennsylvania. The drier and cooler
conditions will last into Tuesday morning before conditions
moderate through midweek, and shower and thunderstorm chances
return as well by later Wednesday.
