A large high pressure system has settled over the East Coast will
result in a long duration heat wave for Pennsylvania this week
into next weekend. A brief afternoon thunderstorm is possible
today and Tuesday, mainly over the northwestern counties of the
state.

Highs today will range from the mid 80s over the mountains
of Northeast Pennsylvania, to the low 90s in the valleys of
Central and Southern Pennsylvania. Lows tonight will generally be
between 65 and 70 degrees. Highs Tuesday will range from the upper
80s to mid 90s and be accompanied by higher humidity. Trends are
for slightly increased temperatures from Wednesday through Friday
this week.
