Showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and
evening along and potentially ahead of a cold front. Localized
damaging thunderstorm wind gusts are possible along with the
potential for locally heavy rainfall of over one inch in less than
30 minutes.

High temperatures this afternoon will range from near 80 across
the highest terrain of the north and west, to the low and mid 90s
in the valleys of South-Central and Southeastern PA. Heat index
values could potentially approach 100 degrees in Southeastern PA.

The showers and thunderstorms will weaken in intensity and decrease
in coverage from Northwest to Southeast later tonight. Lows tonight
will vary from the comfortably cool mid 50s over the NW Mtns to
near 70F in the larger Metro Areas of South-Central and
Southeastern PA.

Seasonably warm, rain-free, and less humid weather is anticipated
for Thursday and Friday.
