Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
644 PM EDT Sat Jun 22 2024

The ongoing early summer heat wave continues to impact the
Commonwealth through Sunday evening.Low temperatures tonight
between 68 and 75 degrees will provide little relief from the
daytime heat.

The major to extreme heat risk will shift into the southeastern
portion of the Keystone State on Sunday with highs in the low to
mid 90s and heat indices between 100 and 105.

Isolated strong to marginally severe thunderstorms are possible
this evening over parts of eastern Pennsylvania ending around
sunset. The next risk of severe thunderstorms will be on Sunday
afternoon and evening focused across the northern two thirds of
the state but isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out across
southern PA.

Some relief from the heat is expected on Monday with lower
temperatures in the 70s and 80s and more comfortable humidity
levels.
