Upper level low pressure spinning over the Southern Appalachians,
with a surface trough extending east off the Mid Atlantic
Coastline, will drift slowly to the northeast today and Thursday.
Several periods of light rain will be focused across the southern
half of Pennsylvania today, while much of northern Pennsylvania
sees little or no rain.

High temperatures this afternoon will range from the low to mid
60s on the ridgetops of the Laurel Highlands to the low and mid
70s in most other parts of the state. Lows tonight will vary from
the mid 50s over the Northern Mountains to the low and mid 60s in
the Southeastern part of the state.

Thursday will be a dry day for most, with only a slight chance of
rain over far eastern Pennsylvania. Temperatures will be a few
degrees warmer than on Wednesday, with highs in the 70s to low
80s.

A ridge of high pressure will build east from the Ohio Valley for
Friday and Saturday, accompanied by variable amounts of clouds
and warm conditions with highs ranging from the 70s in the east to
the 80s in the west.
