Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
134 PM MDT Fri Jun 21 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Widespread showers and thunderstorms this afternoon with just about
every fire weather zone seeing a good chance for wetting rains. Warm
front over northeast Carbon County through Albany County into
north central Colorado this afternoon. This front will eventually
move east through the overnight hours. Much drier Saturday into Sunday
across the forecast area as the front moves east into central Nebraska.
Drier air will lead to decreasing chances for showers and storms
Saturday...but especially Sunday. Afternoon humidity falls into the
teens west of the Laramie Range Saturday and spreads east of the Laramie
Range Sunday. Given fuels are not reported ready...no fire weather
concerns are minimal. Continued warm and mainly dry starting next work
week with afternoon humidities becoming critical each afternoon.
