Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
241 AM MDT Sat Sep 21 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Much cooler temperatures for the weekend as a strong cold front moves
south of the region, limiting fire weather concerns. Afternoon winds
will be from a northerly direction, slowly transition to a northeast
direction by sunset. Winds will be breezy behind the cold front, but
minimum humidity readings will bottom out in the 25 to 35 % range.
A chance of showers will exist for areas on Sunday, as the below
normal temperatures continue. An isolated thunderstorms is possible
along the I-80 corridor, but dry thunderstorms are not expected.
