Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
256 PM MDT Sun Jun 16 2024

...STRONG WINDS EXPECTED EARLY TUESDAY MORNING IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING...

.DISCUSSION...

Elevated to near critical relative humidity readings today and
Monday are expected west of the Laramie Range at 10-15 percent
combined with breezy winds will create elevated fire weather
concerns. Gusty and erratic winds are possible due to weak rain
showers this afternoon, particularly along a stationary front
that is parallel to the Laramie Range today. Strong wind gusts
are expected on Monday night and Tuesday morning for the FWZs
that have coinciding wind prone regions. Wind gusts up to 50
to 60mph may be possible. A cold front will move through the
area on Tuesday, resulting in limited fire weather concerns.
