Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
1257 PM MDT Fri May 24 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Elevated fire weather concerns are possible for areas west of the
Laramie Range as the combination of relative humidity values
around 20 percent and wind gusts up to 25 mph are expected this
afternoon. With the approach of a fast moving storm system,
relative humidities are progged to jump above 50 percent across
much of the area tonight and into tomorrow morning. The main
concern tomorrow will be some isolated thunderstorms to develop
which could bring gusty winds and lightning. Winds will then turn
gusty across much of SE Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle on
Sunday where gusts could gust up to 50 mph.
