Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
130 PM MDT Mon Sep 23 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Elevated fire weather conditions are ongoing for parts of the area
this afternoon with humidity in the teens and northwest winds
gusting to around 25 to 30 mph. RH recoveries should be between 50
and 70% for most areas tonight as cloud cover keeps things a little
warmer than last night. Lower fire weather concerns Tuesday with
slightly cooler temperatures keeping RH mostly above 25% and a
modest northerly breeze for the High Plains. Much warmer and drier
conditions are expected Wednesday onward, increasing fire weather
concerns once again. However, winds should remain below critical,
aside from perhaps a low level jet on Wednesday night.
