...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN ITASCA...
NORTHEASTERN AITKIN AND SOUTHWESTERN ST. LOUIS COUNTIES THROUGH 500
AM CDT...

At 425 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles south of Keewatin to 8 miles west of
Floodwood. Movement was northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hibbing, Chisholm, Eveleth, Mountain Iron, Keewatin, Buhl, Nashwauk,
Cherry, Toivola, Meadowlands, Hart Lake, Goodland, Elmer, Kinney,
Kelsey, Iron Junction, Wawina, Silica, Little Swan, and West Two
Rivers Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 AM CDT for
north central, northeastern and east central Minnesota.
