...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN ITASCA...
NORTHEASTERN AITKIN AND SOUTHWESTERN ST. LOUIS COUNTIES THROUGH 415
AM CDT...

At 342 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Savanna Portage State Park, or 8 miles north of Big Sandy Lake,
moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Big Sandy Lake, Swan River, Floodwood, Meadowlands, Savanna Portage
State Park, Jacobson, Goodland, Ball Bluff, Elmer, Wawina, Floodwood
Lake, and Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 AM CDT for
north central, northeastern and east central Minnesota.
