...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN ITASCA AND WEST
CENTRAL ST. LOUIS COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM CDT...

At 531 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Togo, or 26 miles north of Hibbing, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mountain Iron, Cook, McCarthy Beach State Park, Togo, Angora, Stony
Brook, Shermans Corner, Snake Trail, Idington, and Big Rice Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
north central and northeastern Minnesota.
