...The Flood Watch continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Iowa River near Rowan affecting Wright County.

  Cedar River at Cedar Falls affecting Black Hawk county.

  Cedar River at Waterloo affecting Black Hawk county.

  Cedar River at Janesville affecting Butler, Black Hawk and Bremer
  counties.

  Shell Rock River at Shell Rock affecting Butler, Black Hawk and
  Bremer counties.

  Des Moines River near Stratford affecting Webster, Hamilton and
  Boone Counties.

  East Fork Des Moines River at Dakota City affecting Humboldt
  County.

.Heavy rain has fallen across much of northern Iowa from Friday
evening into the early morning hours Saturday. Many locations in the
Upper Des Moines River basin have received at least three to four
inches of rainfall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you are in the watch area, remain alert to possible flooding.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

River forecasts include observed precipitation through 7pm Friday
evening, plus forecast precipitation through Sunday morning.

* WHAT...Flooding is possible.

* WHERE...The Shell Rock River at Shell Rock, or from Flood Creek
  near Clarksville to the Cedar River.

* WHEN...From this evening to late Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Flooding occurs in Shell Rock primarily in
  residential yards.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.5 feet.
  - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached late this evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* WHERE...The Iowa River near Rowan, or from Belmond to Dows.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 14.5 feet, 190th St just west of Reed Ave is
  impassible. The road is covered by over 300 yards of water. Water
  is over much of the bridge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 7.5 feet.
  - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached late tonight.
  - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
