Today:

Aside from a few low stratus clouds across the northeast, calm
weather prevails early this morning in comparison to the last few
days. Temperatures were in the mid 60s to low 70s across the state
with light winds from the northwest. Clouds should clear out later
this morning with temperatures warming into the upper 70s and low 80s.
Winds will remain light from the northwest.

Partly sunny skies will continue for the afternoon with high
temperatures reaching the low 80s north to upper 80s across the south.
Winds will remain light from the northwest.

Tonight and beyond:

The calm weather continues into tonight with partly cloudy skies and
lows in the mid to upper 60s. A stray shower or two is possible across
the far west. Warm weather returns for Monday and Tuesday with high
temperatures in the low to mid 90s. Heat indices for these two days
may approach the 100 degree mark. If you have outdoor plans, please
make sure to follow appropriate heat safety guidelines. Storm chances
return Monday evening and night and also on Tuesday afternoon into
the evening. Some of these storms may be strong to severe.
