The National Weather Service in Des Moines  has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Jasper County in central Iowa...

* Until 530 PM CDT.

* At 446 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Grinnell Regional Airport to near Colfax,
  moving southeast at 10 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Newton, Colfax, Monroe, Prairie City, Iowa Speedway, Sully,
  Kellogg, Lynnville, Lambs Grove, Reasnor, Prairie City Krohn
  Airport, and Newton Municipal Airport.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 151 and 154, and
between mile markers 158 and 177.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
