Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 110 mph Path Length /statute/: 14.98 miles Path Width /maximum/: 75 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/24/2024 Start Time: 07:30 AM CDT Start Location: 5 SW Bennett / Cedar County / IA Start Lat/Lon: 41.6992 / -91.0546 End Date: 05/24/2024 End Time: 07:44 AM CDT End Location: 2 S Massillon Park / Cedar County / IA End Lat/Lon: 41.8917 / -90.9228 Survey Summary: A tornado re-developed southwest of Bennett, IA, and tracked very rapidly northeast, causing sporadic tree and outbuilding damage. The tornado then struck a farmstead just west of Lowden, where it blew a grain bin off its foundation, and snapped multiple trees and power poles. The tornado was rated EF-1 with max winds around 110 mph.
