...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Kansas...Missouri...

  Missouri River at Atchison affecting Buchanan, Atchison and
  Platte Counties.

  Missouri River At Miami affecting Chariton, Saline and Carroll
  Counties.

  Missouri River at Napoleon affecting Jackson, Lafayette and Ray
  Counties.

  Missouri River at Waverly affecting Lafayette, Saline and Carroll
  Counties.

  Missouri River at St Joseph affecting Buchanan, Andrew and
  Doniphan Counties.

  Missouri River at Leavenworth affecting Leavenworth and Platte
  Counties.

  Missouri River above Parkville affecting Wyandotte, Leavenworth
  and Platte Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SATURDAY, JULY 06...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at Atchison.

* WHEN...Until Saturday, July 06.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Low-lying areas on the Missouri side of
  the river begin to flood.
  At 25.0 feet, A castings plant in Atchison is affected by flood
  waters.
  At 27.0 feet, River Road in Atchison floods and levees on the
  Missouri side of the river are overtopped. If the river remains
  above 27 feet for several days then U.S. Highway 59 and large
  portions of the floodplain in Missouri flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 22.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late this
    morning to 21.4 feet just after midnight tonight. It will
    then rise above flood stage early Saturday morning to 26.0
    feet Wednesday morning. It will fall below flood stage again
    Friday, July 05.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

  begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:54 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 20.0 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall Saturday evening. It will rise
    to 23.3 feet Friday, July 05. It will then fall below flood
    stage Saturday, July 06.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

  - Forecast...The river will rise to 18.7 feet this evening. It
    will then fall tomorrow evening. It will rise to 21.4 feet
    Thursday, July 04. It will then fall below flood stage
    Friday, July 05.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 21.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 21.9 feet tomorrow morning.
    It will then fall Saturday evening. It will rise to 24.8 feet
    Thursday, July 04. It will then fall below flood stage
    Saturday, July 06.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at St Joseph.

* WHEN...Until Saturday, July 06.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Lowland flooding upstream and downstream
  from St. Joseph occurs.
  At 19.0 feet, Backwater from the Missouri River floods property
  along the Nodaway river at Nodaway, Missouri.
  At 21.0 feet, Riverfront Park in St. Joseph begins to flood.
  At 24.0 feet, A residential area in northwest St. Joseph begins to
  flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:35 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 19.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.5
    feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage Friday, July 05.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY EVENING TO FRIDAY, JULY
05...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at Leavenworth.

* WHEN...From Sunday evening to Friday, July 05.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Lowland flooding occurs along the east and
  west banks of the river.
  At 22.3 feet, Water enters Riverfront Park in Leavenworth. In
  addition, 2nd Street at the waste water treatment plant is closed
  due to high water. Persons should vacate the park to avoid the
  loss of life and property.
  At 23.4 feet, The Hildebrandt Island north of Fort Leavenworth
  begins to flood and families in this area need to evacuate.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late Sunday evening to a crest of 21.9 feet Wednesday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday, July
    04.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River above Parkville.

* WHEN...From late Monday night to Friday, July 05.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Water reaches the bottom of the South Main
  Street Bridge and a significant portion of English Landing Park
  floods.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 22.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Tuesday morning to a crest of 26.2 feet Wednesday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday, July
    04.
  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
