...The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill MO has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...Kansas...

  Missouri River at Waverly affecting Saline, Lafayette and Carroll
  Counties.

  Missouri River at Napoleon affecting Jackson, Ray and Lafayette
  Counties.

  Missouri River At Miami affecting Saline, Carroll and Chariton
  Counties.

  Missouri River at Leavenworth affecting Platte and Leavenworth
  Counties.

  Missouri River at Atchison affecting Atchison, Platte and
  Buchanan Counties.

  Missouri River above Parkville affecting Wyandotte, Platte and
  Leavenworth Counties.

.These river forecasts only include the next 24-hours of expected
rainfall. Crest timing and magnitude will likely change with
subsequent forecasts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at Waverly.

* WHEN...From Thursday evening to Friday, July 05.

* IMPACTS...At 23.5 feet, Rural areas along the river which are not
  protected by levees flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 16.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late
    Thursday evening to 26.0 feet Tuesday, July 02. The river is
    expected to be above flood stage through at least July 4th.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

  begin to flood.

  - At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Friday morning to a crest of 22.0 feet Tuesday, July 02. The
    river is expected to remain above flood stage through at

  begin to flood.

  - There is no current observed data.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late Friday morning to a crest of 24.7 feet Tuesday, July 02.
    The river is expected to remain above flood stage through at
    least July 4th.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING TO WEDNESDAY, JULY
03...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at Leavenworth.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning to Wednesday, July 03.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Lowland flooding occurs along the east and
  west banks of the river.
  At 22.3 feet, Water enters Riverfront Park in Leavenworth. In
  addition, 2nd Street at the waste water treatment plant is closed
  due to high water. Persons should vacate the park to avoid the
  loss of life and property.
  At 23.4 feet, The Hildebrandt Island north of Fort Leavenworth
  begins to flood and families in this area need to evacuate.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Saturday morning to a crest of 23.7 feet Monday morning. The
    river is expected to remain above flood stage through at
    least July 2nd.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

  the river begin to flood.
  At 25.0 feet, A castings plant in Atchison is affected by flood
  waters.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late Saturday morning to a crest of 24.8 feet Monday morning.
    The river is expected to remain above flood stage through at
    least July 2nd.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Water reaches the bottom of the South Main
  Street Bridge and a significant portion of English Landing Park
  floods.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Sunday afternoon to a crest of 26.7 feet early Monday
    afternoon. The river will remain above flood stage through at
    least July 2nd.
  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
