032 FNUS52 KFFC 240636 FWFFFC Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia National Weather Service Peachtree City GA 236 AM EDT Mon Jun 24 2024 .DISCUSSION... No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time, as relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of critical thresholds. Another hot day is expected across the area, with highs expected to be in the mid to upper 90s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will advance southward through the area this morning and early afternoon ahead of a frontal boundary. Chances for afternoon thunderstorms will persist across central Georgia later today. Winds will be W in central Georgia and NW in north Georgia (behind the front), increasing to 8-13 mph with occasional gusts as high as 20 mph in the afternoon. Minimum RH values will range from 30-40 percent across the area. On Tuesday, afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected to be confined to south-central Georgia. High temperatures will mainly range from the mid to upper 90s in north Georgia and in the upper 90s to low 100s in central Georgia on Tuesday. Minimum RH values will drop as low as 30-35 percent in north Georgia and 25-30 percent in central Georgia. Winds are expected to be N to NE 5-9 mph. Mixing heights each afternoon will rise to between 6000-8000 ft each afternoon.
